Founded in February 2003

Angry Bear is co-authored by about a dozen people several of whom have PhDs with some actively working in the financial sector. Self-described as "slightly left of center economic commentary" with "strong humanitarian underpinnings", the blog focuses on macroeconomics, trade, industrial production, US government programs and major regulatory issues. One central view is that the government has, and will continue to have, a positive role in resolving the crisis. Angry Bear's owner Dan Crawford recently blogged: "we have everything we need, right now, to restart our economies. All the unemployment, the hardship, the lost opportunities are unnecessary."
