China: Energy efficiency is investment opportunity

The Chinese government has set itself a target of reducing carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by 40 to 45 per cent from 2005 levels and to use non-fossil fuels for 15 per cent of its energy generation.

Schroders, which runs the global climate change equity fund, says that factory automation and energy efficiency are growing at around 35 per cent.
