Switching site comparethemarket.com has launched a new service allowing customers to compare mobile phone deals.
According to the group, the service has been developed to allow consumers a “simple comparison of new mobile phone contracts”, filtering options by budget, phone model, usage and contract length.
The comparison site will show thousands of mobile phone tariffs, in a bid to help users to pick the best tariff for their individual needs at the best rates.
As part of its move into the mobile market, comparethemarket.com said it will be regularly negotiating exclusive deals with mobile networks which are not available anywhere else. It has negotiated exclusive offers on both the iPhone 6 and Samsung S6 Edge handsets, designed to combine very low up-front costs for the handset with a low monthly fee for a large data allowance.
|Samsung S6 Edge 64GB||Apple iPhone 6 16GB|
|Up front cost||Free||£24.99|
|Cost per month||£44.00||£34.00|
James Padmore, head of utilities at comparethemarket.com said: “Most mobile customers roll on to new contracts with their existing suppliers without realising that better deals may be available elsewhere, even on the same network.
“There are so many phone deals available that comparing them can be difficult and confusing. By using our platform, we hope to help consumers make informed decisions quickly and simply which can save them money, not only on the latest handset, but also choose the tariff that best matches their usage.”
