Sainsbury’s Bank has extended the 0% interest period on new customer balance transfers on three credit card offers.
The Sainsbury’s Nectar Balance Transfer Credit Card now offers 0% interest on BTs for 34 months (up from 33 months), and 0% interest on purchases for six months. The BT fee is 2.89% for transfers made within the first three months of opening an account and 3% thereafter.
The Sainsbury’s Nectar Purchase Credit Card now offers 0% interest on BTs and purchases for 19 months (previously 18 months), with a 3% fee for balance transfers.
The Sainsbury’s Nectar No Balance Transfer Fee Credit Card, which previously had a 0.5% BT fee, has also extended its 0% interest period to 13 months (previously 12 months), for both purchases and BTs.
Simon Ranson, Head of Banking at Sainsbury’s Bank said: “We are always looking at ways to improve our products and these latest enhancements have made our credit cards even more competitive.”
The changes only apply to new credit card accounts. To keep the promotional rate customers must pay at least the minimum payment by the due date and stay within their credit limit. Each of the cards has a Representative APR of 18.9% variable.
