The week that was: UK banks come under fire again

Hester made the remarks while being grilled by MPs of the Treasury select committee reported here in the Daily Mirror.

Here is the key quote from Mr Hester when he was asked about the benefits of state support.

"Obviously, it could have fed through to the price of loans to customers. It could have fed through to the levels of employment in banks and it could have fed through to bonuses. So I think one can assume that there might have been some leakage to all of the above."
